Yesterday Avination announced in their official blog that this grid now supports multi-attachments, same as in Second Life. This is good news for us creators and users. Below is the link to the blog for you to read the news.

A few days before Avination informed us that they had also fixed meshes in opensim. The opensim software supported the texture on 6 sides of a mesh. The result was that if a mesh had the max. of 8 sides, the textures kept reverting and switching to one of the textures on the other sides. This made a mesh look ugly as textures are painted to fit exactly the corresponding side.
Melanie Thielker, the coder and owner of Avination donated this fixing code to the opensim community. With the opensim version 0.7.5 the estable version released on February 2013, the opensim devs have included this code and fixed this bug. But as not all grids run on this last estable version it will take longer until all have upgraded to be able to texture meshes with the max. faces of 8.
